NOTIFICATION SYSTEM DESIGN
Streamlined Alerts
The MCNE (Multi-Channel Notification Engine) System is a centralized platform designed to handle the complexities of sending and tracking notifications across various communication channels. Businesses can integrate their existing applications with MCNE through a straightforward API. This allows you to initiate notifications—such as alerts, updates, or transactional messages—which can then be dispatched via Email, SMS, Microsoft Teams, Slack, or WhatsApp.
When your application sends a notification request, MCNE places it into an internal processing queue for orderly handling. The engine then takes over, preparing the message according to pre-defined templates and sending it out through configured external messaging services.
A key feature is the system’s ability to receive and process Delivery Status Notifications (DSNs) from these external providers. This means MCNE gets feedback on whether a message was successfully delivered, bounced, or failed. This information is used to automatically attempt retries for failed messages according to defined strategies and provides your team with visibility into the success rates of your communications.
The MCNE Admin UI offers a comprehensive interface for managing various aspects of the system. This includes setting up client applications, creating and modifying notification templates (separating message content from your application logic), and configuring how messages are distributed across different channels and providers. This approach offers flexibility and control over your notification strategies.
